Norfolk Chapter SAR

The Norfolk Chapter SAR chartered on February 8, 1924 is one of the state's oldest chapters and is dedicated to preserving the legacy and values of the American Revolution. With a steadfast commitment to honoring our nation's history, the chapter actively supports its compatriots through various initiatives, including educational programs, community service, and patriotic events. By engaging with local communities in Norfolk and Virginia Beach, the Norfolk Chapter fosters a deep appreciation for the sacrifices of our ancestors and continues to inspire the next generation with the principles of liberty, patriotism, and civic responsibility.

The Norfolk Chapter SAR is a recent two-time recipient (2022, 2023) of the President General's Education Outreach Award and Streamer for its excellence in its youth and education programs.
