George Washington Chapter, Virginia SAR

Chartered on April 2, 1954, the George Washington Chapter, Virginia SAR is one of eight chapters in the Northern Region and draws its membership from the City of Alexandria and western Fairfax County.

At the 2023 Annual Congress, the Chapter won the President General's Chapter Activities Award and the President General's Education Outreach Award and Streamer.

At the 2025 Virginia SAR Annual Meeting, the Chapter won numerous awards including:

Donald W. Baldwin Award - awarded to the chapter with the largest membership increase
