Crossing of the Dan Commemoration

The Crossing of the Dan was a critical turning point in the American Revolution that occurred 13–14 February 1781.

Since 2005, the Dan River Chapter SAR [website] has led the local community and organizations to commemorate the courage of the men and units who made a difference.

Today, the annual commemoration held each February been elevated to a National SAR Event within support via the Virginia Society, the Dan River Chapter SAR and beyond.  Next commemoration with family friendly events is February 13, 14, and 15, 2025.
